Join conservation biologist and ornithologist Dr. Jeff Lincer as you learn about the life of raptors of Volcan Mountain. We'll start with a presentation at VMF's Webb Education Center followed by a lunch break at VMF's Sky Island trail head. After lunch, we will walk along the moderate 1.5-mile trail where we might get the chance to see raptors riding the thermals.

Date: Saturday, February 19

Time: 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. Due to the gated entry for VMF's Volcan Mountain Nature Center, please plan to arrive by 9:45 am.

Bring: Snacks, lunch, water. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress in layers. And, of course, bring your binoculars if you have them. 

Cost: $10 per person. Space is limited to 12 participants. 

Location: VMF's Volcan Mountain Nature Center in Julian.(22850 Volcan Road/4002 Farmer Road, Julian, CA 92036)

Note: As of now, VMF requires wearing a mask when indoors. Please contact VMF the week of the workshop to learn whether VMF's Covid guidelines have changed.
