The Volcan Mountain Eastern Slope

Volcan's eastern slope rises out of the Anza Borrego Desert and, as undeveloped land, it enhances the vastness of the largest State Park in the United States.

One of the Park's stated goals is to preserve not only desert lands on the valley floor but to preserve the "feeling" of wilderness and open space by protecting the visual boundaries as well.

Volcan Mountain is an integral part of this.
