Spring Weather!

Spring! Lovely one day, snowy the next! And the trees are happy, as we have received over 12 inches of precipitation so far this Spring.

It occurs to me that the bark beetle cannot be faring well in this alternating weather. If you want to know more about how the bark beetle is faring you can come to the Julian Library on June 27th at 10:30am for a presentation by State Parks Biologist, Mike Puzzo. There, we will learn about the state of our precious Oak Trees.

This last Spring we have had the Natural History Museum Bug Expert Michael Wall Ph.D. at VMF's Volcan Mountain Nature Center; and a trip up to see the faultlines on Volcan with geologist Fred Jee. Both trips are highly recommended next time around....

This Spring has been a delight with rain due to a storm each month since January, so may we all fare well as we enter the summer's dry hot season.
