The History of the Cuyamacas and What's Happening to the Oaks, Saturday, May 24th at 10am
Location
Saturday, May 24th, join County Park staff at Santa Ysabel Preserve East for an interesting and informative talk about the history of the Cuyamacas and why the oaks are dying and what we are doing about it. Meet at the Santa Ysabel East staging area on Farmer Road at 10am. Inclement weather will cancel the event.
After the talk enjoy a walk or hike through the easy, rolling, meandering trails of the preserve among the oaks and sycamores along Santa Ysabel Creek. The picnic table at the creek crossing 1 1/2 miles in makes a great spot for lunch or a snack. For updates or questions about this event, contact the County Ranger office at 760-765-4098.
