Sunday, December 13th come learn the art of wildcrafting at the Volcan Mountain Foundation's Volcan Mountain Nature Center at the headwaters of Santa Ysabel Creek in Julian.

Participants will tour VMF's Nature Center property with workshop leaders, Janice Bina-Smith and Kathleen Beck, and learn about local pine trees and how to identify them. Then learn to make pine needle baskets (and possibly evergreen wreaths?) for the holidays. Finish by sampling some pine needle tea, toasted pine nut snacks, and additional recipes.

From 10am-1pm. Limited to 12 participants. Activity fee is $20.

Please RSVP to Nicole at the VMF office no later than Friday, December 10th at 760-765-2300 or admin@volcanmt.org. Due to the gated entry for VMF’s Volcan Mountain Nature Center (22850 Volcan Road, Julian, CA), plan to arrive between 9:45 and 9:55.
