Santa Ysabel East Earth Day Back Trails Hike, Saturday, April 22nd, 2017

Saturday, April 22nd at 9:00 am join San Diego County Parks Attendant, Bill Augustus on a hike through some of the back trails of the Santa Ysabel East Preserve.  Enjoy discussions about the history, plants and wildlife of the Preserve, while seeing places in the Preserve you don’t normally get to see.  Dogs are welcome but they need to be on a leash.  The hike will last 3 or 4 hours. 
 
This hike will include an elevation gain and loss of approximately 500 feet in 1/2 mile.  The total hike distance will be approximately 8 miles.  Please dress in layers as the temperature will vary throughout the hike. Wear sturdy hiking shoes; bring plenty of water and a snack for the trail. Meet at 9:00 am at the Santa Ysabel East Staging area at the north end of Farmer Road,  114-117 Farmer Road, Julian CA 92036.  Inclement weather will cancel event
