The Volcan Mountain Foundation respects private property rights and has pledged not to infringe upon those rights to implement its goals and objectives. Since 1989, through facilitation efforts of the Volcan Mountain Foundation and its partners, more than 19,000 acres of land have been acquired from willing sellers, bringing conserved land within the range to approximately 42,000 acres.
