Come explore nature with the Volcan Mountain Foundation at VMF’s Volcan Mountain Nature Center along Santa Ysabel Creek with Education Coordinator, Kathleen Beck!

During the third week’s session (July 20th, 22nd & 24th, 8am-11am) kids (ages 5-13) will learn about the amazing landscape of the Volcan Mountain Range! Discover the cool of the forest and the watersheds it connects to through fun activities and games.

The History of the Cuyamacas and What's Happening to the Oaks, Saturday, May 24th at 10am

Saturday, May 24th, join County Park staff at Santa Ysabel Preserve East for an interesting and informative talk about the history of the Cuyamacas and why the oaks are dying and what we are doing about it.  Meet at the Santa Ysabel East staging area on Farmer Road at 10am. Inclement weather will cancel the event.

Volunteer Trail Service-Santa Ysabel & Volcan Mountain Wilderness Preserves, Sunday, May 24th at 10am

Sunday, May 24th, 2015 volunteer for a work project at the Santa Ysabel Open Space & Volcan Mountain Wilderness Preserves led by San Diego County Park staff! Enjoy a day of fresh mountain air and the camaraderie of friends and colleagues while making a difference! Projects can include trail maintenance, tree planting trimming vegetation, erosion control and invasive plant removal. Learn proper tool handling and trail building techniques while enjoying scenic views of the surrounding area.

Crafts under the Oaks-Hiking Sticks, Saturday, June 20th, 2015
