Artists' Reception and Performance for VMF's 2019 Rubenson Endowment Award Recipients

Saturday, August 24th, join us for a very special Artists' Reception and Performance for VMF's 2019 Marjorie and Joseph Rubenson Endowment for Art and Science at Volcan Mountain award recipients. The event will feature the premiere performance of an original composition for harp by Christina Tourin and the visual art of Kaili Park as inspired by Volcan Mountain.

In the beautiful open air of the upper reaches of VMF's Volcan Mountain Nature Center, you'll be treated to the angelic melodies of master harpist Christina Tourin, along with special guests from her Harp Therapy program, wafting through the soaring ancient oaks, cedars, pines and firs.

The striking, graphic art of aquatics researcher and illustrator, Kaili Park from the Pacific Northwest, will also be on display during the reception.

This special, limited-seating fundraising reception is $25 per person and includes light gourmet appetizers.

TIME: 4:00 pm - 7:30pm

IMPORTANT: Shuttles will stop running at 4:45pm from the Farmer Road staging area, so please plan to arrive between 4:00 pm and 4:45 pm. At the conclusion of the event, shuttles will depart promptly and return to the Farmer Road staging area.

RECEPTION/PERFORMANCE LOCATION: VMF's Volcan Mountain Nature Center in Julian; Guests will be shuttled from the parking area to the reception area.
