Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11am -- It's finally here! The long-awaited Grand Opening of the Santa Ysabel Nature Center presented by the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation, and co-hosted by the Volcan Mountain Foundation.

As part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony with Supervisor Dianne Jacob, enjoy light refreshments, live music and entertainment, site tours, animal encounters, junior ranger activities and nature crafts.

Innovative and energy efficient, the Santa Ysabel Nature Center will serve visitors who reside in the area, and who stop by on their way to and from the communities of Julian and Ramona -- even Borrego Springs. With rentable space, restrooms, educational displays, ranger-led workshops and a scenic trail loop, the facility will provide visitors with new connections to nature, history and recreational opportunities.
