Volunteer Stewardship Day Saturday, March 14, 2020

Date:
Saturday, March 14, 2020 - 10:00am

Saturday, March 14 -  Join VMF for a stewardship day on Volcan Mountain. We are looking for a few volunteers who aren't afraid to roll-up their sleeves and get dirty. We'll be removing invasive plants at VMF's Volcan Mountain Nature Center and clipping overgrown plants along VMF's 1.5-mile Sky Island Trail.

3/12/20 Update: After consulting with a physician on VMF's board, we're still ON for the Volunteer Stewardship Day this Saturday. A big thumbs up on being out in fresh air, and participants will be advised to keep a healthy and respectful distance among each. However, due to concerns about communal food consumption, and abundance of caution, we were advised that participants should bring their own food/snacks this time.

Date:  Saturday, March 14

Time:  10:00 am - 1:30 pm

Location: Volcan/Farmer Road gate (the north end of Farmer Road with the yellow END sign) 22850 Volcan Road/4002 Farmer Road, Julian, CA 92036

What to Bring and Wear:  Snacks, water and your work gloves if you have them (we'll have extras too). Dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes.

Please note that this is a private gated property. Please CLICK HERE TO REGISTER or please call us at 760-765-2300 by 5:00 pm on Friday, March 13 so we can make arrangements to get you on the property.

Thank you for giving your time and talent to help protect and care for the Volcan Mountain Range!
