Bird watching at Lake Cuyamaca with Sharyl Massey, Saturday, March 7th at 7:30am

Saturday, March 7th join, Volcan Mountain Foundation board member and naturalist, Sharyl Massey for an early morning bird walk at Lake Cuyamaca. You’ll learn the basics of bird identification and ecology, then head off for a leisurely walk along the lake where you will develop the skills to identify a variety of bird species in addition to getting a close up look at their behavior. Later you can use these skills when exploring the preserves and reserves of the Volcan Mountain range.

Meet at Chambers Park at 7:30am and plan to finish around 9:30am. It would be helpful to RSVP to VMF Education Coordinator, Kathleen Beck by Friday, March 6th at 760-518-3273 or VMFEducation@VolcanMt.org so we know who/how many to expect. Bring binoculars if you have them. There is a $5.00 parking fee.
