Blackberry Picking Part 2: Saturday, August 24, 2019 - Santa Ysabel East Preserve

Date:
Saturday, August 24, 2019 - 8:00am

Saturday, August 17th: Join park staff for an easy three-mile round trip hike into Santa Ysabel East Preserve for blackberry picking. Yes -- they are an invasive plant so you are helping rid the preserve of seeds! It's a pretty tasty way to help out.

Date: Saturday, August 24th

Time: 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Wear: Walking shoes, and long pants are recommended as well because of the blackberry thorns

Bring: Plenty of water, snacks, a pair of gloves, bucket, sunblock, and sun hat.

Meeting Location: Farmer Road Staging Area of Santa Ysabel Preserve East; 500 Farmer Road, Julian, CA

There's a 90-degree temperature limit. The hike will be canceled if it's over 90-degrees.
