Fall Colors Hike in Santa Ysabel Preserve East to Kanaka Flat, Saturday, October 19, 2019
Saturday, October 19: Join County Park staff for an autumn hike through the Santa Ysabel Preserve-East to Kanaka Flat.
The moderate 7-mile hike will take you along Santa Ysabel Creek which is lined by deciduous black oaks and sycamores that exhibit lovely autumn colors in the late fall. You'll continue across the creek up and around the Kanaka Loop Trail and return to the trailhead around 1:00 pm.
Time: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Wear: Dress in layers as the temperature will vary throughout the hike. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring water and a snack for the trail.
Location: Meet at 9:00 am at the Santa Ysabel East Staging area at the north end of Farmer Road, 500 Farmer Road, Julian CA 92036. Inclement weather will cancel event.
