Family-Friendly Walk at Santa Ysabel Preserve East, Saturday, August 11th, 9:30am

Date:
Saturday, August 11, 2018 - 9:30am

Saturday, August 11th, join Volcan Mountain Foundation guides at 9:30am for a family-friendly walk along Santa Ysabel Creek. Please wear walking shoes.

Get your Julian Natural Wonderfest day started with an approximately two mile-long walk starting at the Farmer Road staging area of the Santa Ysabel Preserve East (114-117 Farmer Road, Julian, CA 92036).

Our path will cross over a seasonal section of Santa Ysabel Creek and meander through grassy meadows, under majestic oaks, and alongside towering sycamores gracing the banks of Santa Ysabel Creek.

We'll be back within an hour, to an hour and half, (by around 10:30 to 11am). You'll have to time to get lunch in Julian, or enjoy a picnic lunch, before the first-ever Julian Natural Wonderfest gets started at 3pm at Jess Martin Park (2955 Highway 79) in Julian!

Julian Natural Wonderfest

The first-ever Julian Natural Wonderfest is a free, family-friendly celebration of the backcountry’s and Julian’s incredible natural wonders with wildlife ambassadors, games and activities, nature exhibits and presentations, music and camp songs, a star party and more!

After the sun sets, the Perseid meteor shower will be the 'star' attraction with volunteer astronomers guiding visitors through the galaxy.

Come make a day…and night…of it in Julian!
